At least six cities in North Carolina have passed resolutions against cable-backed state legislation that would hamstring new municipal broadband projects. The dissenters include Chapel Hill, Greensboro, Raleigh, Momeyer, Asheville, Rockingham, and Bladenville.
TSA still groping kids…and drug testing them via Boston.com
The TSA responded in the article:
According to an e-mail from Ann Davis, public affairs manager for the TSA, Northeast Region, “TSA does not drug test air travelers. We screen passengers for dangerous weapons and explosives. I realize the mother of this little girl speculates that we’re going to test her for drugs, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.”
I love how, apparently, the only thing wrong with this scene is that the we might mistakenly believe that the TSA screens for drugs. “TSA: Bring your drugs, just not your children.”
